1st Grade - 4th Quarter Objectives 2012/13

3rd Quarter Objectives

Dear Parents,

Thank you for a successful report card pick-up. It is hard to believe it is the fourth quarter. Please check with your child to make sure they have the school supplies that are needed for a successful final quarter.

During the last quarter of first grade we will be working on the skills that are listed below. Please remember to read with your child each night and continue to practice addition and subtraction facts from 0-20. If you need to contact us, please send a note in the communication folder or leave a message with the office clerk at (773) 535-2580, and we will get back to you by the end of the day.

Just a Friendly Reminder:

Communication Folders

All communication between the teacher and parent is sent home in the communication folder. Students are to return their communication folders to school each day for any news, announcements, or important information that needs to go home. Please check them daily.

Friday Folders

Graded papers are passed out on Fridays and placed in the Friday Folder. Please review all papers with your child, sign the sheet inside, and return empty folder on Monday.

Reading Log

Reading logs are sent home on Monday in the communication  folder. Students are asked to read a minimum of 50 minutes a week. Parents are to sign the log each night, and send the log back the following Monday.
