7th ANNUAL I MADONNARI Italian Street Painting Festival Saturday, September 20, 2008

The Sutherland Elementary School PTA invites the entire community, including families, artists both professional and amateur, artisans and business sponsors, to be a part of our 7th Annual I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival.

This unique and popular community event has grown each year, and this year looks to be our best ever!

The festival features professional and amateur artists as they decorate the sidewalks around the school with brilliant chalk drawings. Families and individuals are also invited and encouraged to purchase and decorate a sidewalk square of their own. At past festivals, the sidewalk squares have been transformed into everything from beautiful original images to recreations of favorite paintings and photos, sports logos, even family portraits! Sidewalk squares are only $6.00, and include chalks.

The event also features delicious festival food, music, an Italian cafe offering pastries and coffee drinks, and an artisan tent with unique, handcrafted wares for sale.

The PTA invites businesses to sponsor this lively event. It's a great chance to promote the community and the arts, as well as support your excellent local school. Your business will be listed on signage at the event as well as in thank you ads in the Villager, the Beverly Review, and the Sutherland weekly newsletter and web site.
