Library 2011/2012

Sutherland Library

Welcome to the 2011- 2012 school year! My name is Mrs. Mary Bansley and I am the school librarian.  I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer.  I look forward to a wonderful new year with students.  Students in Kindergarten and 1^st Grade will explore the wonder of books through read-alouds, storytelling, and finger play.  They will also have an opportunity to explore technology and use our laptop computers.

Students in Grades 2 through 4 will continue to learn about the library and explore the world of technology through the use of our laptop computers.

During the next weeks students in grades 2 – 4 will begin to check out books from the Sutherland Library.  Students may borrow one book from the library every week during their weekly library class period.  Students will not be permitted to borrow books from the library until previously checked out books have been returned.  Please assist your child in returning his/her book to the library by marking your calendar with your child’s assigned library day.

The following is a list of classroom library schedules:

Grade 2:  Room 107: Wednesday     Room 108: Friday          Room 110: Thursday

Grade 3:  Room 200: Tuesday           Room 201: Thursday     Room 202: Friday
