LSC Minutes - 1/05/10

1. Meeting began at 4:09 p. m.
2. Role was taken. Members present were: Mike Barnum, Kathy Bennett , Melissa Boyd ,Bill Cahill, Catherine Gannon, Cheryl Kite, Julie Moran, Meg O’Sullivan, Ron Traylor, Donna Somerville, Charlie Zarzecki.
   Absent: None
3. Minutes of December 1st 2009 were read and approved unanimously.
4. Principal’s Report 
   1. LSC election: Materials have been received and are available.
   2. IB Update: Mrs. Ryan will continue to update us in the future.
   3. Tech update: Study Island usage has gone up.
   4. Cultural Enrichment; winter performance of choir and violin performance.
   5. Professional Development –Jan 29th is the end of the 2nd quarter and a PD day for teachers.
   6. Cell Tower – The expenditure for xerox contracts and teacher tutors will be/are covered with these funds.
   7. Report Cards will go home on February 3rd 2010.
   8. Residency – far fewer cases than previous years.
   9. Enrollment – Below 750 and will continue to be monitored.
   10. Lowe’s grant was received for $2000.
   11. Mr. Wax was teacher recognized as teacher of the week.
5. Delegate Reports
   1. PPLC – No Report.
   2. PTA – LSC Roles and Responsibility meeting was scheduled.
   3. Buildings and Grounds – Grant was won.
   4. School Climate – Sports Committee meeting scheduled
6. Public Comment – Questions asked were redirected to the appropriate resources.

   1. Enrollment – Covered in Principal’s Report
   2. LSC Focus – Alumni – A wine and cheese event is in the planning
