LSC Minutes - 7/13/10

Meeting Convened at 3:35p

Present: Ach, Boyd, Delfavero, Gannon, Griffin, Kite, McGuire, O'Connor, Traylor
Craan (arrived at 3:40)
Absent: Faeh

A motion was made to nominate Ms. Gannon as temporary chair for this meeting, the was motion seconded. The motion was unanimously approved.

Officers Elections

Chair nominations: A motion was made to nominate Mr. Traylor as chairperson, the motion was seconded. A motion was made to nominate Ms. O’Connor as chairperson, the motion was seconded.
Ms. O'Connor was elected 6 to 4

LSC Vice-chair nominations: A motion was made to nominate Mr. Traylor as vice-chairperson, the motion was seconded. A motion was made to nominate Mr. Griffin as vice-chairperson, the motion was seconded.
Mr. Griffin was elected 6 to 4

LSC Secretary nominations: A motion was made to nominate Ms. Kite as secretary, the motion was seconded. A motion was made to nominate Ms. Craan as secretary, the motion was seconded.
Ms. Craan was elected: 6 to 4

Minutes of June 1, 2010 Meeting were read and approved.

Principal’s Report

Budget/SIPAAA positions are being restored
Amendment to SIPAAA is required to restore all programs
LSC Members were given a packet including all pertinent information
Website updates for upcoming opening of school will be posted in August

LSC Organizational Discussion

Meeting Calendar was set. Second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
Meeting Dates- 9/14, 10/12, 11/9, 12/14, 1/11, 2/8, 3/8, 4/12, 5/10, 6/14, 7/12
Committees were decided and delegates selected
SIPAAA/Budget: Gannon, Chair, O’Connor, Faeh, Traylor, LSC reps.
PPLC: Boyd, Kite co-chairs
School Climate: Traylor, Chair, Griffin, Ach members
A new committee was suggested and briefly discussed. This was tabled to be discussed at a later date.

SIPAAA discussion and review took place.

SIPAAA/Budget amendment discussion took place. Vote was called.
Amendment was unanimously approved.

Public Comment

Ms. Connolly a parent of an entering Kindergarten student spoke. She is impressed with the school.
