Origins of the Beverly Hills-Morgan Park-MYP Cluster

In 1997 the Beverly Area Planning Association was awarded a grant from the Annenberg Foundation to improve student achievement.  A cluster of Five elementary schools and one high school was formed to implement the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.  This dynamic and challenging program links the elementary schools and the local high school.

Middle Years Programme Beverly Hills-Morgan Park Cluster
The Middle Years Programme focuses on a world language, English, mathematics, social studies, science and technology, the arts, and physical education.  It is guided by three major themes:

The MYP provides students with an academic program that revolves around the central themes of the areas of interaction in grades 6-8 in the elementary school and continues in the 9th and 10th grades of the MYP at Morgan Park High School.
