Welcome, Parents of Sutherland Elementary School Children from the Sutherland PTA

The Sutherland PTA would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to all parents of Sutherland Elementary School children.  If you are new to our school, we would like to inform you of the many opportunities you have to volunteer and to continue to make Sutherland a thriving environment for learning.  The enclosed handouts contain important information for you to review, as well as some forms to be returned to school in a timely manner.  Please take the time to read each form.  Sutherland’s success is a direct result of the partnership of parents, children, teachers, local school council, and administration working together to provide the best education available.

The Sutherland PTA is proud to be a part of the Sutherland team.  Our mission is to support families and teachers by providing volunteer hours, fundraising, and support for the educational process.  We would like you to become a part of the PTA!  We meet the first Tuesday of each month, alternating meeting times between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.  Please check your weekly newsletter, or our website, for meeting times.  We look forward to seeing you there. 

Please review the list of items below to be sure you read and respond when appropriate.  We realize how busy everyone is, so all of this information and more is listed on our website:  www.sutherland.cps.k12.il.us.  Add this website to your favorites and check it frequently for updated information.  You can fill out forms and send them to the PTA via e-mail.  All payments, however, are to be sent directly to school.
