Sutherland School Men's Club

Mens Club Update

February 19th 2011 Concert at BAC Afrodisiacs

Happy New Year!!! From the SSMC.

The Sutherland School Men's Club (SSMC) is organizing a night to the Beverly Arts Center (BAC) on Saturday February 19th, 2011. Come join us for dinner and a show! We will be starting the night at the BAC with a catered dinner from The Maple Tree Inn at 6PM with a cash bar. As if that wasn't enough! We'll throw in chocolates from Sutherland’s own Pat Murphy @ SWEET FREAKS ( http://www.sweetfreaks.org/ ).
Then on to the show at 8PM, the cash bar staying open throughout until at least midnight.

All this for ONLY $35 per ticket for dinner, the show, chocolates from Sutherland’s own SWEET FREAKS ( http://www.sweetfreaks.org/ ).

We only reserved 50 tickets, so it's first paid first 'served'. Please respond to this e-mail to purchase your tickets or call me at 312.953.5853.

These guys will take you away from your dull dreary lives and fly you straight to funkytown! The World Famous Afrodisiacs not just a dance band, but an energetic, high energy show exploding with style and attitude that leaves audiences astonished and overwhelmed! Their electrifying show propels you into the groove, complete with the style, costumes and dance moves of the '70s. They add a unique dimension to their performance, demonstrating Their professional, energetic, humorous and magnetic style has defined them as America's #1 Disco Tribute. They have shared the stage with artists such as Lionel Ritchie, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang and have appeared on national shows such as Jenny Jones and Mancow.

Why should you join the Men’s Club?

You get to make a difference, a big difference in our children’s education.

Since the Men’s Club started in September of 2008, we have raised several thousand dollars that the PTA has used to greatly enhance our children’s school experience. And we did it by having fun!

Is it a lot of work?

Not at all.  We are all busy men.  There are about 8 meetings a year where we decide what to do and how to do it.

Does it cost a lot of money to join?

A family membership in the PTA is all it takes – that’s $15.00 a year.

What does the Men’s Club do?

In the past year we have;

Held a Texas Hold’em tournament . . . Sponsored a Blues Concert at the Beverly Arts Center . . . Held two family picnic/softball games, a bowling night, held a Bean Bag tournament (again 9/25/2010) . . . Grilled for the I Madonnari fund raiser (again 9/18/2010) . . . Had parties watching NFL Playoff games . . . Helped with other school events. We did man stuff, had fun, made new friends and helped the school.

How to join?

Send an email to lksmrvll@yahoo.com  to get on the Men’s Club email list. Come to the next meeting and you are in!
