Becoming a PTA Member

Doesn’t Your Child Deserve the Best? 

The Sutherland PTA works together with teachers, administrators, parents, and the LSC, to make our school the best it can be for the good of our children.  As members of the PTA, dues help to maintain the following programs and activities:

Book Fair, Weekly Newsletter, Classroom Enhancements, Website, Special Lunches, Buildings and Grounds, Parent Education, Holiday Gift Shop, Juvenile Protection, Teacher Appreciation, Room Parents, Mother/Son Event, Father/Daughter Dance, Grandparents’ Day, Innisbrook, I Madonnari, Opening Day Coffee, and many more!

We know many parents work and cannot make it to every meeting, but your presence can be felt by joining the PTA.  Help us offer the best to your children by joining the PTA today.

It is easy to join.  Dues are only $5 per adult.  Of this, the Chicago Regional PTA receives $.75, the State PTA receives $1.50, the National PTA receives $1.25 and the Sutherland PTA receives $1.50.

We ask each family to include a voluntary Ways and Means donation of $3.50.

DUES:  One Adult:  $5.00 + $3.50 = $8.50

Two Adults: $10.00 = $3.50 = $13.50

PTA meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month.  Please read your weekly newsletter or check the website, www.sutherland.cps.k12.il.us for dates and times.
